Welcome to our lab !

We are interested in understanding how gene expression is regulated at the RNA level in the neural network by developing novel biophysical methods. Our research is based on a multifaceted systems approach combining genetic engineering, RNA biology, and quantitative single-molecule analysis.

We pursue our research in three directions: 1) understanding the dynamics of activity-dependent gene expression in the network of neurons in the brain, 2) investigating the dynamic remodeling of ribonucleoprotein (RNP) complexes during the life cycle of an mRNA, and 3) developing novel RNA labeling methods to facilitate non-invasive imaging of transcription in live animals.
